we've had a few letterbox outings so far that have been unsuccessful. the first one is in a place that's flooded out due to all the rains in waco recently. hopefully we'll be able to hunt for it after the waters recede. the next one was "texas ranger" which had been reported missing, but then had been found after that, followed by a couple unsuccessful attempts by other letterboxers. i'd hoped that maybe they just hadn't looked hard enough, but we spent a good half hour studying the place it was supposed to be and are pretty sure it's no longer there. after that, we headed to mother neff state park, where there are a lot of letterboxes, only to find out that the entire park is under water! the county road that leads to the park just disappears into a swamp!
